Do you remember the "Old Hat, New Hat" story? "Shoe-la-la" is a very girl oriented book written in the same vein. It is cute and worth the couple of minutes it takes to read.

Heroes for my Son by David Meltzer I don't agree with all those he chose as heroes but like the format and most of the stories Read it-it only took about 30 minutes!

First two books in the Candleman series...waiting for the third! DMP June
Eidi and Tink The second and third books of the Crow Girl Series I wouldn't recommend. The first was much more triumphant, the last two seemed to emphasize the continued relentless problems to overcome. I wish I could read them in the original Danish to see if I still felt the same way. I also read Book 1 of the Candleman series. It was engaging. Dale June 2011
